Privacy and cookies

I count visits to understand which case studies get read. Page counts need no consent. Heatmaps and recordings do, so they only run if you accept.

Who is responsible

Sabina Nordell runs this site and decides what is collected. Write to sabinanordell@gmail.com with any question about your data.

Page counts, no cookies

Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and a few clicks, such as the email link and the CV download. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It tells visitors apart with a hash of the request that is thrown away after 24 hours. Each event carries only the page path and a fixed label, never your email address, typed text or the page you came from. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works.

Heatmaps and recordings, only if you accept

Contentsquare shows me where visitors click and scroll, and replays anonymous visits. It loads only after you press Accept. Until then, and if you press Reject, nothing is requested from Contentsquare and it sets no cookies. The legal basis is your consent.

If you accept, it can set these cookies on this site:

  • _cs_id, 13 months: a visitor ID, visit count and timestamps.
  • _cs_s and _cs_s_ctx, 30 minutes: the current visit.
  • _cs_c, 13 months: your choice about masking in recordings.
  • _cs_optout, 13 months: set if you take your consent back, so the tag stays quiet.

Contentsquare leaves out what you type into form fields. I report each page to it by its path only, without a query string or hash.

Your choice

Your answer is kept in this browser, in one entry called sabinas-consent, with the date. I ask again after 12 months. Changing your mind is as easy as answering: press here or in the footer. If you withdraw, Contentsquare stops and removes its cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or erase what I hold about you, object to it, or take back your consent at any time. If you think I handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY (opens in a new tab).
